In Need of a Name

Hokay so, our lil a cappella group is still nameless. We had our first paid gig on Saturday night :p (not that we requested payment...) but we didn't have a name to introduce ourselves under. So if you have any helpful suggestions for a name, please lemme know. Thanks kids.

(Ideas so far include such things as "Bunch o' Girls" and some musical terms like "Melisma".)

Shoelaces

I've changed the way I tie up my shoelaces. It feels different to how I used to tie'm. And I can't remember how I used to do it.

Breathing Out

Sydney adwenchOr with Sal yesterday. Driving to Sutho station was a good idea of Sal's. Good for the two O's battery (she only ever does uber short uni runs... poor two O), saved time, made for fun only-JUST-making-it-onto-the-train-even-after-running foo.

Apparently we both needed exercise, so we decided to take a stroll from central out to HUM in Newtown so I could pick up my Songs for Silverman - FINALLY! :) (I am a very happy girl. Listening as I type now. Mmm...)

After admiring such things as a Jesus action figure, some nice (yet uber expensive) drawing stuff, and a whole bunch of CD's there isn't enough fundage for, we stopped for some Thai chow. As we was chowin' down, Sally said hi to someone who walked in the door and I was thinking, "Ah, she's seen another friend of her's who I don't know...". But I turned around to see that Richard Chin, of all people, had just walked into the same restaurant. Bizzare.

Walked back to the city where Sal went to visit a friend at The Games Workshop (nyeeeiiirrr!!), I found that Kinokuniya didn't have the paper I wanted, and a donut later we were on our way home. Sore feet.

A number of us enjoyed a nice chilled out barbecue thang at the Pakula's for dinnOr. Had a good time despite the kickin's in of a dumb headache.

Late at night I read about the new official Ben Folds fan club and got a bit excited. So of couse I emailed to find out what the story was. This morning I signed up when I heard back from them. (So PHEW - any fear of me not being a proper fan, after taking so very long to pick up my SFS, has been put away :p Teehee. Nah, I'm being stoopid.)

Went to visit my Grandma this arvo, with Mum & Dad. All's cool, and Chloe (the usually relatively feisty feline) was being uncharacteristically friendly. Maybe she knew that we'd brought her a whole buncha cat food.

Might watch the SFS DVD tonight. Not sure. Seeing's it's the making of SFS, I have a sorta fear that if I watch it too soon - only having listened to SFS < 10 times - I might get those association issues where I can't listen to a song without thinking about something that was said about it on some doco.
