One... Two... Three - *BURRRRP*
Well, Thursday night (Friday morning - whatever) and my throat, in the style of a true champion, has totally recovered. I also feel like I'm alive again, which is always nice. Junk like the last week or so makes feeling 'normal' feel awesome.
- UniMovies last night - Blade Trinity was somehow even better the second time. Probably had a lot to do with the UniMovies factor, and the bunch o' kids with, and Sal's stoopid comments throughout. I didn't know Kester was there until I heard his ultra loud and lone laugh at one point. Good work Kester :D
The Grudge, unfortunately, failed to get me into a detox-requiring state. (Unlike after The Ring at UniMovies... Kester to the Maccas drive-thru chick: "I've got a thing for cookie time" - followed by Mystery Science Theatre 3000 the movie!) Anyway, I'm not saying that The Grudge isn't potentially a scary movie. It's just that my frame of mind was already set. It was going to be a comedy. And when the G.I. Joe extendo burp factor made its first appearance, it was ALL OVER! As Sim would say - "Fowget abou' it!"
After the movie, Joe & Yymmee needed to be introduced to the world of overdubbed G.I. Joe safety message goodness. Everyone loves that stuff. It was weird and cool to see these lads who'd stealthed it down to the 'gong.
- Thursday - The pirate flag had its first Evil Faction adventure today! Slurpies at 7 Eleven. After sorting through a bunch of random clothes and junk from the cupboard at Bob, somehow we ended up at Woolies buying too much chicken, and flying the Evil Flag high all the while. Then Simon took over in the kitchen at my place while Sal and I did assistant-esque jobs (e.g. making nachos for cooking-time snacks). Eltham helped out in his own way by making plans for the next day's midday TV viewing. *Ahem*. Mum and Dad loved having dinner cooked for'm. Aaaawww.
Singing was fun tonight. We met up at the girls' place, which I realised doesn't have a name yet. (I only realised when I put their number in my phone. I had to call it "girls girls", which works as long as you say it with Strong Bad's voice.) We're gonna start learnin' some noo toons next week so that'll be fun.
Watched the last 10 minutes or so of Lost when I got home. So I didn't catch much of what was going on. But I've been told it's worth watching...
